Zoom2 can give you a whiter, smile in double quick time at our Coventry dental practice
Did you know that teeth whitening is illegal if performed by someone who is not a registered dental professional? Did you also know that whitening products brought online can often be unregulated, meaning at best they are ineffective and at worst could damage your teeth!
To be sure that your teeth whitening treatment is safe, legal and effective always chose a dental practice to provide you with the treatment. Although it might seem more cost effective to buy a treatment from a beauty salon or online if you can’t be sure that the treatment is legal and safe then is your smile really worth the risk?
Our in-practice Zoom2 teeth whitening is fast, effective and safe and as it is performed by only registered dental professional you know it is completely legal too. The treatment can give you a whiter, brighter smile in as little as 90 minutes. After the in-practice treatment we recommend ‘topping up’ your whiteness with a handy at home pack.
To find out more about our teeth whitening treatments book a no obligation consultation to find out how it could improve your smile.
It’s possible with orthodontics from Dental Perfection in Coventry
Orthodontics is the future of cosmetic dentistry. Many of us as adults wish that we could turn back the clock to our adolescence and choose to have braces so that we had a straighter, more attractive smile. Perhaps visible wires and brackets put them off?
You’re never too old to straighten your teeth! Many people often think that if you don’t have treatment as a child that nothing can be done â not true! Some are put off by the thought of wearing unsightly ‘train-track’ braces for up to 3 years â no need to worry!
Dental Perfection can offer ‘invisible’ and clear braces to straighten you teeth and create the perfect natural smile.
Ask any of the team at Dental Perfection in our Coventry state-of-the-art practice to find out more about adult orthodontics, clear braces and aligners by contacting us today
Mouth Cancer Action Month runs throughout November and this year it focuses on the campaign phrase ‘If in doubt, get checked out’
Mouth cancer can strike in a number of places, including the lips, tongue, gums and cheek. Given that early detection is so crucial for survival it’s essential that people know the signs and symptoms so they can be aware and get checked if they have any concerns.
The signs and symptoms not to ignore include:
Ulcers which do not heal in three weeks
Red and white patches in the mouth
Unusual lumps or swellings in the mouth or head and neck area
If you have any concerns whatsoever about your mouth we urge you to make an appointment with a dentist or GP so they can put your mind at rest or take action if they believe it is needed.

Are you one of the many people who are wearing dentures to replace a full arch of missing teeth? Perhaps you only have a few of your own teeth in place? Maybe you have no teeth left at all?
Although you may have heard about dental implants and decided that they might not work for you, we thought you’d like to know a little bit more about the revolutionary ‘All-On-4’ implant system?
All-On-4 implants can be used to replace entire arches of missing teeth as the restorations are placed on just four implants â not one per tooth like the traditional method.
This means that replacing all your teeth with comfortable, effective and natural looking restorations fixed to permanent dental implants is much less invasive, much less expensive and they can be fitted in just one visit.
If you’d like to know more about the benefits of the All-On-4 system, and if it would work for you contact our Coventry dental practice today to book a FREE, no obligation consultation.

National Smile Month has had another great year promoting oral health and dental wellbeing around the country. Just because it’s over for another year that doesn’t mean we’ll stop promoting the need for great oral care and hygiene within the practice though.
We want your smiles to last a lifetime and with regular dental and hygiene appointments we can help make that happen, but we need you to do your part too. After all you take care of your smiles more often than we do here at the Coventry dental practice don’t you?!
With this in mind here are some ‘top tips’ to keep your smiles looking great:
Clean in between your teeth at least once a day using floss or inter-dental brushes
Make sure your toothpaste contains fluoride; it helps strengthen tooth enamel making it more resilient to decay
Change your toothbrush or toothbrush head every two to three months, or sooner if it becomes worn as it will not clean your teeth properly
If you use a mouthwash don’t use it directly after brushing as you risk rinsing away the fluoride from your toothpaste
Wait an hour after eating or drinking before brushing your teeth as the enamel could be softened and your risk brushing away tiny particles of it
Avoid snacking and try to only have sugary foods and drinks at meal times to cut down the amount of times your teeth are under attack
You have probably seen in the news the issues surrounding oral health at the moment with regards to the effect sugar has on our teeth.
People need to be more aware of the devastating effect sugar can have on their oral health and be conscious to how often they are consuming it. They need to recognise when there are ‘hidden sugars’ in supposedly healthy foods and take measures to prevent against their effects.
One of the most worrying issues is the state of children’s oral health in the UK: nearly a third (31 per cent) of five-year-olds and half (46 per cent) of eight-year-olds have visible signs of dental decay. This can be down to many reasons such as a poor diet or a lack of oral health education and needs to be addressed urgently. We encourage patients to register their children with the practice as soon as possible. It’s often a good idea to bring the little ones with you on a visit so they can get used to the unusual sights, sounds and smells before their first appointment.
We want your smiles to last a lifetime so if you are at all concerned about your or your family’s teeth, please do contact our Coventry dental practice and make an appointment to see one of the friendly dental team.
